When Jeremy Lesniak, the podcast owner, contacted me to invite me to his show, I expected that I was going in to describe what Aikido was and what its practice in Japan boiled down to. Even though I knew that the editorial line was quite biographical, it turned out to be a far more introspective interview than I had expected. Jeremy's questions were very perceptive and often hit personal points, and you can clearly see that I tend to be far less confident when talking about myself compared to when I'm talking about Aikido in general, such as during the interview I did recently for Tofugu. I am not to sure how interesting hearing about my life will be to others, but for me, it was a great opprotunity to reflect on the path I travelled so far and to look into what was ahead.
